China Railway and XpressWest JV to Nevada-California HSR Project

China Railway International USA and US railway consortium XpressWest have agreed to launch a joint venture (JV) to build and operate the first high-speed railway (HSR) project in the US.

The 370km-lengthy railway project, often known as the Southwest Rail Community, will connect Las Vegas, Nevada, and Los Angeles, California.
The settlement underlines China’s intention to increase within the worldwide rail market.
The scope of work will embrace creating, financing, building and working the Southwest Rail Community, with stations in Las Vegas, and the California cities of Victorville and Palmdale, and service across Los Angeles.
