Introduction

The National Industrial Transportation League (NITL) celebrated the graduation of the inaugural class of its Emerging Leaders program on October 23 during the NITL Engage Policy Forum in Washington, D.C.

Emerging Leaders Program

The Emerging Leaders program is designed to prepare members for future leadership roles within the freight transportation and logistics sector. The year-long curriculum included four core training sessions. These sessions covered NITL’s structure and resources, significant industry challenges, the roles of regulatory agencies, and the federal policymaking process.

Participant Demographics

The graduates of the Emerging Leaders program range in age from 26 to 51.

Executive Director Statement

NITL Executive Director Nancy O’Liddy stated in a press release that the graduates “have demonstrated a strong commitment to learning, collaboration and leadership. They are not only the future of their organizations, but of the transportation and logistics industry as a whole.”
