Project Scope and Purpose

The modernization project aims to enhance transport accessibility and boost regional competitiveness. The goal is to increase train speeds to 200 km/h, saving travel time between South and Central Moravia.

Infrastructure Upgrades

The Brno – Přerov HSL will upgrade and double-track existing lines. Level crossings will be replaced with overpasses or underpasses. Construction is already underway on the Nezamyslice – Kojetín and Kojetín – Přerov sections. The entire line from Brno to Přerov is scheduled for completion by 2033.

PPP Model

The project will utilize a PPP model, which combines public and private sector resources to deliver large-scale infrastructure projects. This approach aims to optimize costs by leveraging the stability of the public sector with the expertise of the private sector.
