Skanska has Won Fulton Street Transit Centre Project

Swedish firm Skanska has won a $120m (SEK840m) contract from the New York City Transit Authority for work on the ongoing Fulton Street Transit Centre project.

Work involves building pedestrian bridges, platforms and three new entrances at the Fulton Street-Broadway-Nassau subway station including deconstruction work, installations and the restoration of the hub at street level.

The Fulton Street Transit centre project is a planned hub to connect several subway lines in the Ground Zero area of the city. Work will begin shortly and is expected to finish in early 2013. The new contract is Skanska’s third for the transit hub project.
