ZS Requires $5.7bn for Corridor 10 Rail Line
Serbia’s state-owned railway company Zeleznice Srbije requires $5.7bn to complete its main rail corridor, Corridor 10, including the costs for documentation and expropriation.
Zeleznice Srbije is seeking a loan from European lending agencies and it has already started negotiations with the European Bank For Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank to finance the project.
The project involves laying 750km of electrified double track line, which will allow trains to run at speeds of 160km/h.
