CJSC Azerbaijani Railways (ADY) continues the Baku ring railway construction on the 29.2-km section Baku-Pirshagi-Sumgait.ADY informs that laying of a 400 m railroad line and installation of a railway passage change device at the Baku passenger station is planned today.

Work is carried out by Specialized Railway Company #1 under Dəmiryolservis Ltd (Zheldorservis). The construction began from civil (excavation) work on a 2.2-km distance Narimanov-Boyukshor.

The ring road will run through settlements the 8th kilometer, Sabunchu, Zabrat, Pirshagi, Kurdakhani, Goradil, Saray.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) expressed readiness to participate in the financing for the project.
