Introduction

Stadler Polska celebrated the production of its 1,000th rail vehicle at its Siedlce facility during TRAKO 2025. This milestone train, a five-car next-generation FLIRT, is destined for Koleje Mazowieckie and is the initial unit from a new order placed in 2024.

Milestone Achievement

The 1,000th rail vehicle produced at Stadler Polska’s Siedlce plant, a five-car next-generation FLIRT, is part of an order for Koleje Mazowieckie. This achievement marks the culmination of 18 years of production at the Siedlce plant, which commenced operations in 2006. The first and 1,000th vehicles share the Koleje Mazowieckie livery.

Operational Overview

Under existing contracts, Stadler Polska is set to deliver up to 75 new trains to Koleje Mazowieckie, supporting regional services in Mazovia. Vehicles manufactured in Siedlce are deployed in 18 countries, including Poland, Germany, Norway, the UK, Italy, and Spain. A total of 237 units have been put into service domestically, with many more exported.

Executive Statements

Radosław Banach, CEO of Stadler Polska, stated, “Producing the 1,000th vehicle at our Siedlce plant is a great achievement of which we are extremely proud.” Adam Struzik, Marshal of the Mazovia Voivodeship, noted that the 1,000th vehicle, which will operate on Mazovian tracks, summarizes the long-standing cooperation. Robert Stępień, CEO of Koleje Mazowieckie, welcomed the milestone, highlighting Stadler’s role as a key partner.

Fleet Expansion

Koleje Mazowieckie has been a significant partner for Stadler for almost two decades. The operator’s initial FLIRT units, delivered in 2006, remain in service. Between 2020 and 2023, Stadler supplied 61 FLIRT trains to the company, with further deliveries ongoing. Currently, Koleje Mazowieckie operates 71 Stadler vehicles, and the fleet is expected to increase by another 64 units in the coming years. By the end of the current orders, Koleje Mazowieckie will operate 135 FLIRT trains, with an additional contract for 11 units under discussion.
