Middle East Rail 2017 Event Confirmed for March Next Year

The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Terrapinn have signed an MoU to to jointly hold Middle East Rail, the region’s longest running and most successful railways event, for three more consecutive years.

The next edition of the show is due to be held from March 7th next year at Dubai World Trade Centre. The 11th edition of the event will extend its project focus to new regions in the MENA region as well as Central Asia and Indian Subcontinent. Middle East Rail 2017 will host over 350 exhibitors occupying more than 22,500 square meters of space.

Confirmed keynotes speakers include: Sir Peter Hendy, chairman, Network Rail, UK, Asset Assavbayev, chairman of Transport Committee, Ministry of Investments & Development, Kazakhstan, H.E. Mahmood Baligh, minister, Ministry of Public Works, Afghanistan, Khaled el Din, vice chairman for Freight Transport, Egyptian National Railways, Egypt and Parag Khanna, author and expert on the ‘one belt, one road’ plan’, Connectography, Singapore.

The memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed by H.E. Dr. Abdulla S. Al Katheeri, director general, Federal Transport Authority – Land & Maritime, UAE and David Beguely, managing director, Terrapinn.
