Isolux Corsan will Electrify Indian Karnata-Telengana Railway Line
The engineering arm of India’s National Railway Board has awarded three major electrification contracts to Isolux Corsan.
Covering 563 kilometres of railway across the states of Rajasthan and Karnata-Telengana, the contract was awarded by Rail Vikash Nigam Ltd (RVNL), which is owned by the Government of India.
Isolux Corsan will supply 25 kV AC overhead line equipment (OLE) and five traction substations as well as signalling and telecommunications (S&T) systems.
The first project includes 198 kilometres of OLE and a substation between Rani and Swarupganj. Two further schemes in the State of Karnata-Telengana include electrifying the Hospet-Kudatini and Toranagallu-Ranjitpura lines, and the Kudatini-Guntakal route in the Guntakal Division of South Central Railway.
