Introduction

European Sleeper plans to reinstate the Paris–Berlin night train service by the end of March 2026. The new service, scheduled to commence on Thursday, 26 March 2026, will operate three times per week.

Paris–Berlin Night Train

The Paris–Berlin night train service, announced by European Sleeper, will provide a direct night service between Paris and Berlin. Departures from Paris are scheduled for Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings, with arrivals in Berlin the following morning. The return service will depart from Berlin on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights. European Sleeper is finalising the timetable with infrastructure managers and anticipates confirmation in the coming weeks.

Operational Strategy and Network Expansion

European Sleeper intends to route the new service via Brussels, resulting in a six-times-weekly Brussels–Berlin service when combined with its existing Brussels–Berlin–Prague connection. The company’s aim is to enhance the economic sustainability of the route and strengthen its night train network. For travelers from the United Kingdom, the new service will offer additional travel options to Berlin, facilitated by Eurostar connections in Brussels.

Ticketing and Onboard Amenities

Ticket sales for the Paris–Berlin service are expected to open on 16 December 2025. The trains will feature the same travel classes as existing European Sleeper routes. These include sleeper compartments, couchettes, and seated coaches, catering to a range of passenger needs. The fare structure will be comparable to similar services, accommodating both budget travelers and those seeking enhanced comfort.

Financial and Investment Details

European Sleeper has launched a new funding campaign, offering shares starting from EUR 280. The company aims to raise EUR 1.3 million in the current round, followed by an additional EUR 1 million from early December. The funds will be allocated to preparations for the Paris–Berlin service, including rolling stock procurement and initial operational costs during the start-up phase.

Additional Route Development

In addition to the Paris–Berlin project, European Sleeper is developing new international routes. These include connections linking Amsterdam/Brussels with Switzerland and Milan, and another route connecting Amsterdam/Brussels with Barcelona. The operator expects to confirm the next route in the coming weeks.
