CSX announced today that Kevin Boone has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer. Maryclare Kenney has been promoted to senior vice president and chief commercial officer. These changes follow Sean Pelkey’s departure from the company.

Executive Appointments

Kevin Boone, who joined CSX in 2017, assumes the role of executive vice president and chief financial officer. Previously, Boone served as executive vice president and chief commercial officer. He also held the EVP and CFO position during the COVID-19 pandemic and was VP of corporate affairs and investor relations.

Commercial Operations Leadership

Maryclare Kenney has been promoted to senior vice president and chief commercial officer. She has been with CSX’s commercial operations for almost 14 years. Most recently, Kenney oversaw merchandise sales and marketing, TRANSFLO, automotive, and Total Distribution Services Inc.

Prior Experience

Prior to her current role, Kenney served as VP of intermodal and automotive. Before joining CSX in 2011, she held sales leadership and strategy positions at PepsiCo. She also served in the U.S. Army for seven years, attaining the rank of captain.
