The financing agreement was signed by Kamel Al-Wazir, Egyptian Minister of Industry and Transport, and Ebisawa Yu, Head Representative for JICA office in Egypt. Complementary letters were signed by Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, and Fumio Iwai, Ambassador of Japan to Egypt. The Cairo Metro Line 4 project is expected to serve 1.5 million passengers daily upon completion and is considered a key element of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
