The BRS rejected the tentative agreement reached with the NCCC. Of the 2,131 ballots returned, 1,127, or 52.9%, voted against the agreement. Approximately 62.7% of the distributed ballots were returned.

Tentative Agreement Details

On August 26, the NCCC and BRS announced they had reached a tentative agreement. This agreement aligned with the national bargaining pattern, providing 18.8% wage increases over a five-year period. The national contract also included improvements to health and welfare benefits, with no increase to the employee contribution rate, and earlier access to paid vacation time for members.

BMWED Agreement Ratification
