TEM-TMH Shunting Loco Finished a Test Run Successfully

New shunting locomotive with a hood-type body TEM-TMH has successfully finished a test run.

Diesel locomotive, designated for heavy shunting operations on the railways of JSC Russian Railways and approaching lines of industrial enterprises, passed a test run in locomotive depot Bryansk-2.

During the test run locomotive was operated in different modes, executing standard shunting, gravity shunting and clean-up works. At the present moment locomotive is on the stage of preparation for certification tests. Receipt of certificate is planned for Autumn 2011.

TEN-TMH – is the project, implemented at BMZ together with CZ LOKO company and Vilniusian locomotive repair depot.

Locomotive is designed on the basis of TEM18 diesel locomotive with the use of its main frame and non-pedestal bosies. Modules by CZ LOKO Company are used in the design of the locomotive. Diesel locomotive TEM-TMH has a turret-type driver’s cab and low hood. Locomotive is equipped with AC/DC electrical transmission and Caterpillar engine with a capacity of 970 kW.

Main performances of TEM-TMH Capacity – 1320 h.p. Design speed – 100 km/h Axle load – 21 t
