Alstom has won a contract to supply six new Coradia Lint low-floor diesel multi-unit (DMU) trainsets, valued at CAD$34m (€25m), to urban transit service provider for the city of Ottawa, Canada, OC Transpo.

The contract is part of OC Transpo’s continuous plan to upgrade O-Train rolling stock and infrastructure.
The Alstom DMUs, called Coradia Lint, will be delivered in May 2013.
Each trainset can carry 260 passengers offering flexible operation with short travelling times and small stop distances, the company said.
The O-Train is an 8km light-rail north-south line service between Bayview and Greenborough that began as a pilot project in 2001 and carries more than 2.3 million passengers a year.
