According to Liang Jianying, president of the Society, CRRC chief engineer, the international Society was another collaborative innovation platform led by CRRC Sifang after its establishment of Sino-German Joint R&D Centre on Railway Technology in Germany and Innovation Design Alliance of China in Hangzhou as the principle leader this October. In future, an academic conference would be held every two years.
Data showed that currently total mileage of high-speed rails had reached 14620 km and over 1300 high speed trains. Liang Jianying believed that in order to keep Chinese high-end railway transportation products such as high-speed rails in pace with the world advanced level, the only way lied in an innovation of sustainability, openness and collaboration. It was a good way to gather superior resources in the world for innovative society.
As a leading enterprise in China’s railway transportation equipment, CRRC Sifang boasts national R&D test institutions such as Engineering Technique Research Centre of the National High-speed EMU Assembly and National Engineering Laboratory for High Speed Train System Integration etc. High speed trains, intercity EMUs and subway trains etc. it has developed are hailed as role model products in Chinese railway transportation manufacturing.
